It wasn’t until 3 years after graduation that I got my foot in the door of the automotive industry. I landed at a subcontractor and made electric motors for sunroofs and other systems in cars.
The next stage in the development of my career as a vibroacoustics engineer was turbochargers. These components are already a direct supplier of components to car manufacturers. This was a higher technological level, with many challenges in the field of vibroacoustic research and development. Seven years is a significant amount of time to build a laboratory, develop methods, and conduct tests leading to the improvement of turbocharger acoustics quality.
The next 4 years involved developing my brand – Vibroacoustics Engineer (NVH Engineer). This was a whole range of projects in various industries. The majority of it was IT, working on two apps and one program. There were also power generators, sunroofs, an e-commerce lingerie store, a large catering project, heat pumps, fans and heat recovery ventilators, and others.
In 2024, the cherry on top appeared – literally and figuratively. Chery Automobile is a Chinese OEM. I’m doing what I’ve long wanted to do: testing and optimizing vibroacoustics in cars. Together with colleagues from Chery Europe, we are introducing Chinese brands to the European market.
