noisehacking

Noisehacking is my slogan

When coming up with the term 'Noisehacking', I was referring to the term Biohacking. Biohacking and noisehacking are two different approaches to optimising our lives in different areas. The slogan also perfectly sums up the type of some of the features in the music in the meditation and development app Focusly that I have been working on.

I invite you to read my article on the Focusly blog.

My additional thoughts on noishacking:

What are the benefits of using the Focusly app in noishacking?
There are many benefits to using the Focusly app for noise hacking. The app offers pleasant fan noises, nature sounds or relaxation music that can serve as background noise and effectively mask the noise. Using the Focusly app while working can also help to improve concentration and efficiency in completing tasks.

Biohacking and noisehacking are two different approaches to optimising our lives in different areas. Here are the key differences between the two:

1. Definition and field of action:

– Biohacking refers to making changes to the way we live by influencing the body and mind to optimise their effectiveness and capabilities
– Noisehacking is about minimising being in noise and planning appropriate acoustic comfort through methods such as sound attenuation, noise masking and space design.
2 Area of influence:

– Biohacking focuses on improving health, physical and mental performance, sleep quality, as well as experimenting with different aspects of life such as nutrition, training, supplements, meditation, etc.
– Noisehacking aims to minimise the harmful effects of noise on health and well-being

3 Methods and tools:
– Biohacking uses various techniques and tools such as monitoring of physiological parameters, dietary supplements, exercise training, meditation and other methods to influence the body and mind .
– Noisehacking uses methods such as digital sound attenuation, noise masking with pleasant nature sounds or relaxation music, design of appropriate room layout and acoustic isolation.
4 Purpose and benefits:
– Biohacking aims to optimise physical and mental health, performance and well-being.
– Noisehacking seeks to minimise the harmful effects of noise on health, improve sleep quality, increase acoustic comfort and protect against the negative effects of long-term noise exposure.

In summary, the main differences between biohacking and noisehacking lie in the field of action, methods and objectives. While biohacking focuses on optimising whole-body health and performance, noisehacking focuses on eliminating the negative effects of noise on our health and well-being through the appropriate design of spaces and the use of noise suppression techniques. Both practices aim to optimise different aspects of our lives, but in different areas.

Intuitive creative process vs algorithms

🥱 Bored with “Lean” and “Six Sigma” – methods common in Automotive, I was looking for knowledge on how to approach problem solving innovatively. Methodological optimization and “nibbling” percentages is not always the right solution, when it’s begging to be “turned upside down”. My creative approach in problem solving was ‘somehow’ intuitive, based on ‘some’ experience, being ‘somehow’ more open to solutions and ‘somehow’ having flashes of ideas. Often this approach led me to come up with ‘some’ solution. However, I was also often left with an idea and the thought “what next?”.

Engineer dad + VAN + kids + 2 weeks holiday + Croatia = ?

The holiday season has come to an end, and with it a time for reflection. For the second year in a row, I decided to go alone with my children to Croatia. We had lots of different adventures involving the car, camping. Trips like this are incredibly inspiring, relationship-building and great for improving soft skills. Definitely not an easy venture, but well worth the experience.
